Peter

This is Peter, a beautiful 3 year old boy with no siblings. He is a little closed off at times but responds immediately to gentle words.  When baby Kai was here he was so affectionate and tender with her.  He doesn't talk much but I think with a little attention and patience he could be talking in no time.  He is very smart and I  loves to sing along to our videos.

Caroline lifted Peter up so he could enjoy a few moments of relaxation in our hammock.  He was very content.

Peter filled the cups with water and gave them to the twins. Peter needs a mommy and daddy .
He has such a sweet disposition and is a handsome little fellow.  I am praying that God will find a family that needs him as much as he needs them.

This is Destiny and Grace.  Beautiful little twin girls who I am learning how to talk to because they don't speak English.  They are always laughing and giggling, so playful.  What a blessing to have known these two girls and all of the children here at Assurance of Hope Orphanage. Every day one or more of them touches my heart in a very special way.  I am so thankful for the opportunity to get to work them.  They do say Grandma!
Jerry, Bernard and Bless stole a pot of rice, at least they are sharing!

I SEE YOU MINA

I SEE YOU MINA!

This was a very interesting day as we started out to Chorkor without our usual guide, Enoch.  But Job and Richard were very confident that they knew how to get to our destinations. I think their confidence may have diminished just a little after we had to turn around two or three times on the way there.  If not it surely did after our many turns and backtracking down numerous before we finally found our way out of the concrete maze we were in. It was actually very funny if you weren’t Job and Richard!

Then as we continued we approached a group of kids swimming.  Today the fact that I was obruni, white woman, was a benefit as I drew the attention of many children.  First were the kids swimming who began doing flips and dives and dancing to show off.  It was so much fun.

Then we encountered a beautiful little girl with the hairdo of the year!  Soon there were a number of children gathered around who were dancing and begging for me to take their pictures.

We finally arrived at the second house to drop off food and the kids were so excited digging through the boxes of food.  I  know they enjoyed their special food for Christmas!  What a blessing it is to get to see the joy on the faces of so many children that others are helping. Thank you for how you contribute to these kids. They are so grateful for all that you have done for them!
